XpressAmerica Windows XP Dial-up Configuration/Setup

Windows XP, as of early 2006, is THE most Stable version of the Windows Platform. After over 20 years of development, Windows is the most widely used operating system of it's time, especially when it comes to accessing the Internet. More information about Windows XP can be found HERE.
Here we will discuss how to get your Windows XP to connect to XpressAmerica's Dial-up Service with a Generic Connection:

First, Navigate to the New Connection Wizard:

The New Connection Wizard will open:

Now you will see, "Network Connection Type: What do you want to do?":

Now you will see, "Getting Ready: The wizard is preparing to set up your Internet connection":

Now you will see, "Internet Connection: How do you want to connect to the Internet ":

Now you will see, "Connection Name: What is the name of the service that provides your Internet connection? ":

Now you will see, "Phone Number to Dial: What is your ISP's phone number?":

Step 8:![]() |
Now you will see, "Internet Account Information: You will need an account name and password to sign in to your Internet account.": (PLEASE REMEMBER: You CAN NOT change your username and/or password unless you call us by phone)

Now you will see, "Completing the New Connection Wizard":

To link your computer to the World-Wide-Web (the Internet):

Now your connection will call XpressAmerica by dialing our phone number, then it will Verify who you are by telling our "modem" your username and password |

You may now browse the web by double left clicking on Internet Explorer (the big blue E). At this time we must advise you that your setup with XpressAmerica is NOT complete until you have ran our setup program. Being connected to our services means you Fully Understand our Policies. If you choose Not to download and run our setup program, here are the links to our Policies: Our setup program sets up the actual connection to XpressAmerica AND sets up your E-mail with Outlook Express. It also places 2 shortcuts on your desktop... a direct link to XpressAmerica and a direct link to our Webmail (which can be accessed from any computer with a live internet connection). |
