The next is the amount of activity on our server. When spam mail is sent from a company to a XpressAmerica address, our mail server bandwidth shoots through the roof. We are alerted to this, and find the spammer sending these emails by the thousands, and block them.

While these steps are in place to help you minimize spam, many still get through to your email box. You can prevent a lot from coming through as well. Many customers cause triggers that cause us to get slammed with lots of junk/spam mail. You do it without knowing it because you may think what you are doing will stop the spam. Here is a list of what you can do to reduce spam.
- Never unsubscribe to email. The Company you unsubscribe from takes you off their list, but now that they know you unsubscribed it verifies its a good email address. They in turn sell your email to hundreds of other companies.
- When you order something on line use a junk email address. You can either set up a junk one here, or make one at hotmail, or yahoo. Then you know anything in the junk email box is junk. It also lets you know who the bad companies are. Then empty all messages in it once a week. Do a bulk delete.
- Tell your friends not to give out your email address.
- To block repeating email click on message, then block sender in your email program
- To start clean again since you have given it out so much you may want to make a new username and password here at XpressAmerica.
